I wonder how many people don't get the one they want, but end up with the one they're supposed to be with. Knowing too much of your future is never a good thing. There is so much about my fate that I cannot control, but other things do fall under the jurisdiction. I can decide how I spend my time, whom I interact with, whom I share my body and life and money and energy with. I can select what I can read and eat and study.
I can choose how I'm going to regard unfortunate circumstances in my life-whether I will see them as curses or opportunities. I can choose my words and the tone of voice in which I speak to others. And most of all, I can choose my thoughts. Some things are destined to be -- it just takes us a couple of tries to get there. Once you make a decision, the universe conspires to make it happen.
Sometimes life has a cruel sense of humor, giving you the thing you always wanted at the worst time possible. Accept the things to which fate binds you, and love the people with whom fate brings you together, but do so with all your heart. Fate is never fair. You are caught in a current much stronger than you are; struggle against it and you'll drown not just yourself but those who try to save you. Swim with it. and you'll survive
