When a man gives his opinion, he's a man. When a woman gives her opinion, she's a bitch. I'm tough, I'm ambitious, and I know exactly what I want. If that makes me a bitch, okay. I myself have never been able to find out precisely what feminism is: I only know that people call me a feminist whenever I express sentiments that differentiate me from a doormat.
Why do people say "grow some balls"? Balls are weak and sensitive. If you wanna be tough, grow a vagina. Those things can take a pounding. The thing women have yet to learn is nobody gives you power. You just take it. No woman gets an orgasm from shining the kitchen floor. Men are from Earth, women are from Earth. Deal with it. A feminist is anyone who recognizes the equality and full humanity of women and men.
It is obvious that many women have appropriated feminism to serve their own ends, especially those women who have been at the forefront of the movement; but rather than resigning myself to this appropriation I choose to re-appropriate the term “feminism,” to focus on the fact that to be “feminist” in any authentic sense of the term is to want for all people, female and male, liberation from sexist role patterns, domination, and oppression.
